With the continuous deepening of the development concept of "green water and green mountains are golden hills and silver mountains", people's green consciousness is getting stronger and stronger. Carbon fiber and its composite materials as one of the focuses of the development of China's new materials industry, in order to promote the sustainable development of the industry, various environment-related laws and regulations are gradually introduced. Eu legislation imposes strict restrictions on the recycling of waste carbon fiber composite materials (CFRP), the disposal of waste CFRP should be undertaken by the producer, and the disposal of waste CFRP in landfill is prohibited. In 2000, the Council of the European Union issued the "Technical Directive on abandoned vehicles", which requires that 95% of the composite materials of scrapped vehicles should be recycled, and the reuse rate must reach 85%. At the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly held in September 2020, China clearly put forward the "carbon peak" of carbon dioxide emissions before 2030, and strive to achieve the dual-carbon goal of "carbon neutrality" before 2060.
CFRP as one of the key development of China's new material industry, the recycling and reuse of its waste not only meet the requirements of the national sustainable development strategy, but also in line with the development trend of the "low-carbon" new industrial system, is an important measure to promote the sustainable development of advanced composite materials field, has great economic and environmental significance.
Guided by the high-value reuse of recycled carbon fiber, this topic develops a recycling process suitable for existing carbon fiber composite materials used in wind power to achieve high-efficiency and low-damage carbon fiber recycling, and further promotes the potential demand for the functionality of new generation materials based on resource utilization, environmental protection strategies, high-end market development and expansion. At the same time, the fiber surface wettability is improved to prepare high-performance fiber reinforced composite materials to meet the application of recyclable carbon fibers in 3C products, wind energy, rail transit and automobiles.
